Have you noticed the promo code box when you make a reservation at Four Seasons hotels on their website? Do you wish you had this magical discount code or coupon to enter in this box to get a better deal on your next stay?
Our luxury travel concierge has booked tens of thousands of clients into Four Seasons hotels. I can share what this box is all about and how to get the best deal and discount at any Four Seasons hotel.
Four Seasons Promo Code Or Coupon
Spoiler alert, your average leisure traveler is unlikely to ever have access to a code to enter into this box. It is only those who are making large group or corporate bookings that will be given a code. The only way to get a better deal or discount on leisure booking at Four Seasons hotels is to book with a travel agent who is an official “Preferred Partner” of Four Seasons.
Our own luxury travel concierge is an official Preferred Partner of Four Seasons hotels. This means that our clients can book via us to get the same rates as the Four Seasons website but they also get free benefits too.
These free benefits include $100 USD resort credit, breakfast for 2 people, a welcome gift (usually a bowl of fruit or a sweet dish like cookies, or both!), room upgrades (subject to availability), and more. See what our clients say about us and how thrilled they are with the extra benefits we provide at no extra cost.
Our official Four Seasons partner agency perks are added in for free. We are not cheaper than FourSeasons.com, we are the same price, but the free perks we offer (outlined below) are massively valuable. You will not get these free perks if you book your stay on FourSeasons.com direct.
Why Four Seasons?
The reputation of the Four Seasons as a brand means that they will continue to charge expensive room rates as their resorts are reliably excellent. Wherever you are in the world, Four Seasons is consistently one of the best hotels in that city or resort.
Most Four Seasons hotel room rates start at around $500 – $1000 USD per night. More recently, since Covid, we have seen rates skyrocket. In high season, some Four Seasons hotels quickly reach prices of around $3,000 USD per room per night.
But don’t panic, even wealthy travelers want a great deal. We share booking tips below that will help you squeeze the most value out of your next Four Seasons hotel stay and will get you the discount that you’re looking for.
1. Get Extra Benefits Free
As outlined above, you can take advantage of free loyalty style benefits from your very first stay at Four Seasons hotels and resorts by merely booking with a luxury travel agent. It really is that easy, and the rates you pay will be the same as those on the Four Seasons website.
Four Seasons is not alone in this luxury offering. Most luxury hotels have hidden travel agent loyalty programs that give you free benefits if you book with the right “Virtuoso” or hotel partner agent like our luxury concierge.
2. Book Early
Book early, book early, book early! We can’t highlight this enough times to our clients. Regrettably, we also sometimes forget to follow this rule and occasionally suffer high prices too.
Let’s take Four Seasons Hampshire as an example. We recently stayed here and you can read our review of Four Seasons Hampshire here. We love this property so much and thought it would be fabulous to book a 1-night stay here each month. Unfortunately, we only came up with this idea after our last stay a few weeks ago, and when we searched the rates at this hotel, we could not find a rate less than £800 a night.
Rather frustratingly, at the end of last year, we booked one of our concierge clients into the same hotel for around £1,200 GBP for 3 nights. That’s less than half the price available to us now!
The moral of this story is that it’s often wise to be the first to book at these hotels. Try and book the moment next year’s rates are released. If you join our email list we will be posting an article as soon as we spot 2023 rates being released for this and other Four Seasons hotels. For now, Four Seasons Hampshire’s rates are only available until the end of the year.
It is also worth mentioning that we have seen this issue with numerous other Four Seasons hotels. This is because, like airlines, their rates are dynamic, so the more people that book, the higher the rate. The Four Seasons hotels in Hawaii run at a particularly high occupancy rate as there is never a bad time to go to Hawaii.
I regularly recommend clients who book their stay with our luxury travel concierge to book as soon as the rates come out. It is simply not worth holding out for a last-minute discount as these magical discounts don’t exist.
3. Book A Last Minute Deal
As outlined in point 2, don’t hang out for a last-minute deal at Four Seasons properties. They don’t happen. Offers change and vary according to the hotel, but booking in advance is the only sure-fire way to secure the best and cheapest rate at a Four Seasons hotel.
Interestingly, if you book a year in advance and then notice a “three nights for the price or two” type offer, most Four Seasons reservations teams are more than happy to switch you to the cheaper rate with no hassle. So don’t panic if you see a cheaper rate after you have booked. Usually, the team will amend your rate accordingly.
That said, I am seeing cheaper rates happen less and less after the point of booking. For most clients, I only see rates go up from the moment I book them in. Let’s face it, it’s nice to feel smug if you book your room for $1,000 USD per night and then see that someone else is having to pay $3,000 USD.
4. Book Discounted Advance Purchase Rates
If you are booking in advance and are very sure of your dates, you can take advantage of advance purchase discounted rates. This is one of the few ways to get you a cheaper room at Four Seasons hotels.
You must be sure of your dates, because once you have booked in, there are no refunds on advance purchase rates. If you can’t make your stay, you won’t get your money back! Most Four Seasons advance purchase rates offer anywhere from 10-30% discount off the usual hotel room rates so this can be a great deal.
5. Book Three For Two Rates
An alternative discount offered at some hotels is the three nights for the price of two or the four nights for the price of three discount. Both of these discounts tend to be available outside the high season and can save you a considerable amount of money.
Note that these rates are often only available on certain dates so look at the small print before assuming you will be able to book them at your chosen Four Seasons hotel.
6. Change Your Holiday Dates
It might be less convenient, but it’s worth rearranging your dates and planning to specifically target certain Four Seasons hotels when they are cheapest and are offering the best discounts.
For example, the Grand Hotel Du Cap Ferrat offers low season rates at the end of November and in March, at prices that are as much as 70 or 80% lower than their high season rate. Granted, it might rain during your stay, and there might be a chilly wind, but the hotel bar, restaurant, room, etc., all remain the same at this stunning property.
In Hawaii, you should avoid the main holiday dates to get a good offer, and at the Four Seasons Hampshire, Sunday nights are usually the cheapest. Take Monday off work and grab yourself a bargain!
If you need help in picking the best value dates, feel free to ask our own luxury travel concierge agents. We are delighted to quote for a whole month so you can pick the cheapest nights.
7. Look Out For New Properties
Brilliant new Four Seasons are opening all the time. If you can book these hotels the moment that they release their rates, you will be sure to get the best possible deal.
8. Stay Shorter
It sounds obvious when you say out loud, but I would prefer three nights at an expensive Four Seasons rather than a week at a bog-standard resort. Do one night and use the hotel’s facilities on the afternoon of your arrival and the morning of your departure. Usually, Four Seasons hotels are fairly flexible so even if you have to give up your room at 12 midday, you are usually more than welcome to sit around the pool until 4:00 or 5:00 pm. This is a great way of maximising your enjoyment.
9. Four Seasons Loyalty Scheme
Just to be absolutely clear, there isn’t a Four Seasons loyalty program, you will never be able to book a free stay by racking up and redeeming points, or by collecting points on your credit card and spending them on a Four Seasons hotel stay. It can’t be done. This is not an option to get a discounted stay.
10. Use Corporate Promo Codes
There are special corporate promo discount codes, so if you are an employee of a company like Goldman Sachs, Bank Of America, IBM, or the government, you might be able to take advantage of these discounts, but these codes are not widely available to the general public for leisure stays.
In addition, the discount may not be as good as the free benefits offered by our luxury travel concierge. We suggest asking for a free quote so you can compare prices and benefits and get the full picture before booking.
11. Don’t Book With Your Credit Card Travel Agency
Do you want to be at the front of the queue for your free room upgrade? Book your Four Seasons stay via our luxury travel concierge, and we will put you first in line for your free upgrade. You will be placed in front of guests who book via booking services like American Express Finest Hotels & Resorts.
Book via our luxury travel concierge and your upgrade will be prioritized over any other agency bookings, including Four Seasons direct bookings and credit card agency bookings. This is because our travel agency is an official partner of Four Seasons hotels, so room upgrades for clients that we book into Four Seasons hotels are put at the front of the queue!
You can use any credit card as payment when you book with our concierge, so you still get your usual loyalty points and rewards from your credit card when you book with us.
